The King’s Daughters!

The term: “The King’s Daughters” has always intrigued me. I first saw it as a book of Christian short stories that I used to read to my own daughters when they were younger. I wish that I could find that book and look through it again so that I could share with you some rich lessons that spoke to me as I read to them!

“The King’s Daughters” is a noble term with all of the visions of royalty!

We can almost see the beautiful and various gems in the tiara that we would wear as we hold our posture to support its weight both physically and what its responsibility implies.

We can visualize choosing the elegant, long, flowing gowns and jeweled necklaces, bracelets and earrings to be worn during banquets, balls and public events that give a sense of good taste and regal value.

We can dream of the opportunities for education, dance lessons, and etiquette training so that grace and poise would mark our movements, and eloquent words would inspire those we speak with.

We can imagine the privilege to serve people and causes for good, to be able to travel and speak as a voice for our father, the King.

The truth is, that is what I am and that is what you are!

We may not “feel” like that but it doesn’t make it any less true.

But there is much more than these things to being the One True King’s Daughter.

I recently read a devotional from Spurgeon in MORNING AND EVENING that reminded me of these things, and not just the things but my attitude towards them. It was from John 7:37 when Jesus says,

“If any man thirst, let him come unto Me and drink.”

Spurgeon summed it up by saying:

The sinner must come to Jesus, not to works, ordinances, or doctrines (crowns, gains, successes, etc.) but to a personal Redeemer, who His own self bare our sins in His own body on a tree. The bleeding, dying, rising Savior is the only star of hope to a sinner. Oh for grace to come now and drink

No waiting or preparation is so much as hinted at. Drinking represents a reception for which no fitness is required. A fool, a thief, a harlot can drink; and so sinfulness of character is no bar to the invitation to believe in Jesus. We want no golden cup, no bejeweled chalice in which to convey the water to the thirsty; the mouth of poverty is welcome to stoop down and drink of the flowing flood. Blistered, leprous, and filthy lips may touch the stream of divine love; they cannot pollute it but shall themselves be purified. Jesus is the fount of hope. Dear reader, hear the Redeemer’s loving voice as He cries to each of us:

“If any man thirst, let him come unto Me and drink.”

Yes, even the King’s daughters need to be reminded that they too need the REDEEMER!

This is what the Lord has given me to do with the Living A Lovesong membership!

Because of the teachings of God’s word that daily quench my spiritual thirst, refresh my spirit, and have brought Christ’s redeeming work into my life - I have the privilege, joy, and the duty to Him to share them with other Christian women - the King’s daughters! To share them with you!

The Living A Lovesong Membership provides a place to connect with Christian women who come to Him thirsty and desire the value and benefits of a mentoring relationship that will help to grow, ground, and guide their faith through the ups and downs of life.

As the King’s Daughters, we learn together to live daily and drink from the overflow of the King’s love, purpose and influence in our lives! We do this by going through a process that provides a path to help us get from where we are to where we want to be. We call it the LOVESONG SUCCESS PATH!

In that path, we will:

Reflect

-on KNOWING OUR GOD as we study His attributes, and learn how to meditate on His word. This is an up close and personal view of God that He reveals to our hearts showing us Who He really is!

-on KNOWING OUR ENEMY as we learn about the strategies and tactics that he uses to disrupt and ruin our lives. We will use a hands-on approach on how to recognize them and overcome them.

Refine

-we will begin a journey to be purified by the truth about KNOWING OURSELVES and go back to the beginning of God’s word and in His original language to dive deep to learn what He intended for us when He built us!

Refresh

-after we have been through the refining fire of the truth and burned up lies, cultural views, half truths, and personal preferences, we will need to be refreshed with the hope to apply what we have been learning. We will be gaining some new tools and receive the training to be able to use them effectively and with precision!

Rejoice

-this is where we get to come together and share how these things have impacted our lives and enjoy some set apart time through Coaching opportunities, Days Alone With God (DAWG) and an annual retreat!

Repeat

-the end of the LOVESONG SUCCESS PATH is just the beginning of what God has next for us! We will step into our tomorrows by doing a study on “Keeping the Secrets of Jesus” with an opportunity to join the LOVESONG MENTORING TEAM to touch others of the King’s Daughters with hope and encouragement!

I have experienced the blessing of a mentoring relationship for many years now! I have also been blessed to be a mentor to many women!

If there is one thing that I have learned, it's that our lives are much fuller and richer when we walk through the inevitable challenges that will come our way with someone who may have walked them out a few steps ahead of us and whose tiara is still intact! The example of faith as they carry out their responsibilities with the grace of our Father, the King!

Someone who is willing to share the value and beauty of their wisdom with us!

Someone who will patiently encourage and inspire us as we learn the ways of our King!

Someone who will guide us as we navigate the opportunities to do good!

Someone who will use their voice to cheer for us in the wins!

Someone who will speak life and purpose to us in the losses!

This is what my mentor has done for me and what she has taught me to do for others!

My name is Brenda Schaefer, and I love to mentor Christian women - the King’s Daughters who are my sisters!

If you have never been mentored, are looking for a mentor or want to be a mentor - let’s get started…together!
